Cooties
Lynn did an amazing job with this layout! It just make me so proud to see these design members take a simple design like these
and come up with something amazing like that!
Her journaling reads: Well, it was 1968, I was in 5th grade, Public School 19 in Albany, NY. My teacher was Mrs. Markowitz. Although I could be the sweetest young girl, I was always in trouble for something. I can still remember some significant event in each grade that made that year stand out. In general, the teachers just couldn’t understand where I came from. Enid and Cyndy, my 2 sisters, were known by all of the teachers as good students who behaved well & then here I came!!! Wow! They weren’t quite ready for me! So, getting back – it was the year of the cootie shot. We had several cooties in the class so we gave cootie shots often! I swear EVERYONE did it! I was just the 1 who got caught!
I always got caught! I think they were all in kahootz together and out to get me! Immediately after giving my classmate her cootie shot, Mrs. Markowitz caught me & said “LYNN! Stand up! Tell us what you’re doing!” Smiling and shyly I said, “A cootie is a bug”. Mrs. Markowitz: “That’s not how you’re referring to a cootie! How else would you describe a cootie?” EGADS! Lynn: “Oh! A cootie is Steven Kessler!” To be honest, I don’t remember much more about Steven Kessler. But, G-d’s honest truth – he turned out to be a BRAIN SURGEON!”

Beware It's a Jungle Out There...
This super super cute retirement card was created yet once again by our dear customer Debbi W.! She used our brand new cutter file "Beware It's a Jungle Out There".This is what Debbi had to say....
Our daughter asked if I could come up with a special retirement card for one of her co-workers (a family friend) and when I saw your "Beware It's a Jungle file" I knew it was exactly what I needed. This file cut so nicely, and enjoyed piecing it together. It's put on a plain card base (8.5x11") using Posies Glitter Print Dragonfly Flower paper (found in Michael's Art Store) the file pieces were all made from scraps. My printing isn't the greatest but the name of the boat is C.S. Retirement (for the person retiring) and the numbers located at the front of the boat is her retirement date 06 30 08.
Awesome job as ALWAYS Debbi!!!
